Cedar Park is home turf for us. Austin Sports Center Cedar Park and Henry Middle School are two of the three gyms our north-side teams train in, which means Cedar Park families get the shortest drive of anyone in our program and the widest choice of practice times.
Our Cedar Park group pulls players from Cedar Park Middle School, Henry Middle School and Running Brushy Middle School, and from Cedar Park High School and Vista Ridge High School. Cedar Park sits mostly in Leander ISD, with part of the city zoned to Round Rock ISD, and both districts turn out strong programs. Kids chasing a varsity spot are competing against a deep pool, and school coaches are evaluating handles under pressure, defensive footwork, shooting mechanics and whether a player understands spacing. Those are exactly the things we drill.
What Cedar Park families tell us they value most is continuity. A player can start in Little Hoopers at six, move onto a select team in 4th grade if they are a boy or 5th if they are a girl, and keep working with coaches who already know their game through high school. Little Hoopers gives Cedar Park kids ages 6 to 8 their first real taste of the game: ball handling, footwork and shooting taught through games rather than drills, so nobody stands in line. Cedar Park has become one of the strongest youth basketball communities in Central Texas, and our program grew up alongside it. Impact Sportz was founded in Chicago by Lonnie Welch and Toron Clark and relocated to Austin, coaching Central Texas players since 2010. We work with players from Leander ISD and Round Rock ISD schools, and we see the same kids year after year. Boys join teams in 4th grade and girls in 5th, and many stay through high school. Our coaches know what each player is working on, and parents get straight answers about where their kid stands.
Cedar Park families do not have to drive into Austin for high-level training. Our north-side practices run at Austin Sports Center Cedar Park, Henry Middle School and Round Rock Sports Center — all within a short drive of Cedar Park, Leander, Brushy Creek and Anderson Mill. That is what most Cedar Park families come to us for. Our coaches work on what school coaches evaluate: ball handling under pressure, shooting form, defensive positioning and basketball IQ. A longer season and tougher competition than school ball alone tends to show up at tryouts.

Is AAU basketball better than high school?
AAU is an excellent outlet for fans and coaches to see top talent playing together in the same building. Compared to high school ball, there is only one game per night, and all of the top talents might not be playing that night.
How do I join an AAU team?
We have tryouts 4 times a year. Grades 4th through 8th have 4 tryouts per year. High School has 3 tryouts per year.
How much does it cost to play?
